Wool of the Month July 2014: Rainbow Heirloom

Some of you Ravelry fiends may have already seen my latest version of Lush by Emily Wessel of Tin Can Knits. I was holding off releasing photos of said garment until the start of the month, as this project uses July’s Wool of the Month. The secret is out and Rainbow Heirloom is here!

Rainbow Heirloom is a hand dyed yarn that is currently available at GTS in both  a fingering weight, as well as a heavy DK. Emily Wessel has made the plunge into hand dyeing, and Ginger Twist Studio has the privilege of being the first retailer to feature this venture. Come take a gander at these vibrant shades!

In other news, I was in need of a shop sample in Ginger’s Hand Dyed Sturdy Splendor Aran. Okay, if I’m honest I saw the Gothic Lace Cowl by Tin Can Knits. Aran weight lace + buttons = a very happy Jess. I’ve done this with less than 2 skeins of hand dyed in the Persuasion colourway. After a bit of a button kerfuffle, I’ve went with the bottom button option. Can’t wait to have my neck swathed in this merino silky goodness!
