I’ve been working on some wee knitted flowers for the knitty event at the Glasgow Green tomorrow. It is actually the same as the Poppy pattern for the Knitting For Victory campaign, but I am just doing them in different shades. This is a super easy pattern and will work very well for yarn bombing purposes. Not sure if I will be placing these randomly around the area, or I could string them on a chain all together and adorn a lucky tree. It should be a nice day out, and I will be sure to include what misadventures I get up to in a blog post over the weekend.
I’ve finished another Montrose in a very economically friendly yarn: King Cole Bamboo/Cotton 4ply. But for those with a penchant for the Ginger’s Hand Dyed, I’ve got another dye day scheduled on Tuesday with plenty of Splendor 4ply on the way. GTS will soon be offering Montrose kits, so stay tuned for more info next week. And then you can always join the Head to Toe KAL (knit-a-long) on Ravelry!
And in other KAL news I’ve now finished the yoke of my latest wee Lush for the Lush-a-long, as brought to you by Knit British, Shiny Bees. podcast, Knit.Spin.Cake podcast, and Caithness Craft Collective. Thanks for organising ladies!
