Finishing Week

August is coming to a close, and September is just round the bend. What does this mean for GTS you say? Well, there is a new and wonderful Wool of the Month to introduce you to on the first, as well as the 3rd pattern release in the Head to Toe pattern collection. Edina Mitts are soon coming your way. I can’t wait to cast mine on for the KAL! Come on and join in! But for now, here is a wee taste.

The past week has been a great week for finishing projects, and here are a couple I have managed to get blocked and photographed.

Here is my Cresta Dell’Onda by Susan Crawford, and my knitted interpretation of Neapolitan ice cream. Strawberry + vanilla + chocolate = Neapolitan. I used 3 skeins of her gorgeous Fenella yarn to acheive this result.

Next is a pair of socks that I have actually now worn! Gasp! I don’t know why I feel the need to save hand knit socks for special occasions. Here is my rendition of Catch the Rainbow by C.C. Almon

I’ve also completed a couple Barley hats and Rye socks by Tin Can Knits, as well as another Brunswick by Clare Devine.  The knitting never stops.
