Its a Rare Breeds Month

September’s Wool of the Month has hit the shelves, and its all about rare breeds this month. I’ve got Norfolk Horn, North Ronaldsay, Manx Loaghtan, and Hebridian; all in their  natural shades from Black Bat. This precious 4ply is fab for Fair Isle and colourwork.

And I’ve worked up a sample of the Hildasay Mitts. This pattern is available as a kit this month for £16.75, just pick 2 of the rare breeds. I knit mine out of the Norfolk Horn and the Hebridean. I may also be working on the Hildasay Tam, combining the North Ronaldsay, Norfolk Horn, and Hebridean. Yummy.

And you may have also noticed that the Edina Mitts were also released at the start of the month; the 3rd pattern in the Head to Toe pattern series. I’m in love with this travelling cable in the softest of greys.
