As you may well know, Amanda B. Collins is Designer of the Month for February at GTS. I have therefore been working dilligently away on some OwlPrintPanda projects.
This hat was finished a couple weeks ago. The pattern is called Will-‘O-the-Wisp, and is composed of a selection of beautiful swirly cables that keep my head nice and warm. As I am such a loose knitter (*insert bawdy laughter), my finished project turned out more like a bucket sort of cloche, which I really like!
I was super excited to see Amanda’s latest sock pattern that has just been released. Check out these beauties! Named for one of the highest mountains in Scotland, Braeriach is just a gorgeous pattern.
Therefore, it is only right that I set aside some yarn for these casting on purposes. I’ve selected a skein of one of my new sock bases, BFL Rock Sock in the ‘Selkie’ colourway. This yarn is a generous 110gram skein of 100% British Bluefaced Leicester, and is spun in such a way to make it durable enough for socks.
I’ve got an Ashton Lane shawl on the needles too (Joan has requested one of her own). I’m loving this way this yarn is knitting up, and think it shall block out very nicely.
And if that is not enough OwlPrintPanda goodness, I’m also stocking a wide selection of this lovely lady’s stitch markers. Pop in for a peek!
