I’ve been so excited for July’s Wool of the Month feature! This month sees WoollenFlower yarns placed in the front of the shop window. Jules has brought through 3 different bases for our squishing pleasure. Available in the shop this month is a selection of her fingering-weight alpaca/silk/cashmere, Light fingering-weight alpaca/silk/linen, and a lace-weight kid mohair/silk. They are phenomenal and have already been very popular.
Jules has done a gorgeous version of Brooklyn Tweed’s Scalene Shawl using one strand of the light fingering held alongside a strand of the lace-weight kid mohair/silk.
I fell in love with this yummy shawl, and have set about doing my own version. For mine I’m using 2 skeins of the light-fingering in ‘Comfrey’ and a gradient of greens in the lace-weight mohair.
Come in for a look at all these naturally dyed beauties!
